Huttoft Car Terrace Pervert

Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) are once again paying a local security firm to intimidate law abiding citizens parking overnight at Huttoft Car Terrace.

Last night the security firm caused a lady considerable distress at 03.10 by looking through every window shining a bright torch. The lady was in her nightwear. Fortunately this disgraceful event was witnessed by Alex Sprott who saw off the pervert.

I have taken his up with LCC and recommended that the lady refers the criminal offence to the Police.

Dear Sirs,

I refer you to and the forwarded emails.

As the lady had not left her vehicle she was conducting herself lawfully. Indeed it is LCC who breached Part 4 – 7 (2) of the byelaw. By intimidating the lady.

I request that you look into this disgraceful incident as a matter of urgency. It is inappropriate for LCC to employ a pervert who enjoys spying on ladies in their nightwear.

Kindest Regards,

Andy Strangeway

Subject: Complaint – Huttoft Car Terrace

Dear Sir/Madam,

As you will be aware Lincolnshire County Council lost its case in Lincoln Crown Court on Friday. Please see the following links for further information.

  1. Victory – Huttoft Car Terrace
  2. Huttoft Car Terrace – The Future

Following this case I would like to register a complaint against Lincolnshire Police for their actions at 00.30 on Saturday 3 May 2014 when I was rudely disturbed from my meditation. I am a Buddhist.

As I was conducting myself lawully as

  1. I have a permit
  2. My vehicle is below 1.9m
  3. I was not sleeping
  4. I did not leave my vehicle

the actions of Lincolnshire Police were in breach of the byelaw as per Part 4 – 7 (2).

If I receive an unreserved apology for their unlawful conduct within 5 working days I will seek no finanacial compensation from Lincolnshire Police or take any further action against them.

Kindest Regards,

Andy Strangeway

Huttoft Car Terrace – The Future

Last Friday Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) endured further humiliation as their wet behind the ears £1,500 per day barrister from London suffered defeat to a factory worker and painter & decorator.

He started by saying this was a “simple parking issue” and ended humiliated in conversation as to Alex taking salt and pepper on his food. If this was a simple parking issue why was no one from the multi million pound LCC legal department capable of dealing with it?

I was most impressed with Alex’s presentation in the court which I believe was twice as good as I could do. We are all very proud of Alex.

Alex & MotherAlex with his mother

Crown Court Summary

  • Alex’s vehicle was below 1.9m
  • The judge ruled that prosecution for the May 11 ticket was an abuse of process
  • No evidence was provided to support the claim that Alex was asleep
  • The notices fixed to vehicles are fundamentally flawed to allow for prosecution
  • There was inadequate signage
  • Alex was awarded £669.69 costs
  • The case cost LCC an estimated £5,000 on the day

  • No one can be prosecuted who have received a notice on their vehicle
  • Unless LCC can establish adequate signage, which must be illuminated, LCC will be unable to prosecute anyone parking overnight at Huttoft Car Terrace.
  • So long as motorists remain with their vehicles anyone can lawfully park overnight on Huttoft Car Terrace.
  • Unless the byelaw is revoked and the remaining height barriers removed  both LCC and Lincolnshire Police are exposed to a legal challenge as per Part 4 – 7 (2) of the byelaw which states:

Further Defence

Of course the fundamental defence is still:

To Be Left

Good Evening Gentlemen,

Could I please refer you to

As both LCC and Lincolnshire Police are currently exposed to potential legal action I highly recommend that you revoke the byelaw and remove remaining height barriers at the earliest opportunity.

Please be aware that neither myself or any of my friends, which includes all motorhomers, will accept any further harassment from either LCC, Lincolnshire Police or any security company. If we are the victims of any harassment in breach of Part 4 – 7 (2) of the byelaw legal action will most certainly be considered.

Kindest Regards,

Andy Strangeway

Victory – Huttoft Car Terrace

One and a half years ago I received an email requesting my help. I met an amazing group of people who enjoy the simple pleasures of the Lincolnshire Coast. But for reasons unknown Lincolnshire County Council object to this and spent over £150,000 to prevent it.

Lincoln Crown Court 007 (2)

This group contained Alex Sprott, who like myself, will never be intimidated by the state. LCC made the mistake of issuing a summons to Alex.

Today our karma has ripened, we took on the state and won.

Without the kind donations of supporters I would not have been unable to undertake this campaign.

Old and New Friends

It was good to catch up with old and new friends at the Huttoft Car Terrace meeting yesterday.

Just before 22.00 motorhomers left the car terrace and parked on the approach road to make room for those attending the late night entertainment. This included:

  • A rave
  • Fire ball dancing and
  • Indian drumming

It was wonderful to watch folk enjoying the rave, mostly young couples, they were polite and a credit to themselves. None of the motorhomers parked on the slip road had their sleep disturbed.

Special Thanks

I would like to thank those who organised the evening entertainment which was enjoyed by all who attended our meeting.

I would especially like to thank Lincolnshire County Council for turning a blind eye to the young couples numerous vehicles parked on Huttoft Car Terrace for the rave for not issuing tickets to them

NB: Given that inadequate sign (see above) is still not displayed at Huttoft Car Terrace this would have been a pointless exercise.

Happy To Support Alex

As my election campaign has now concluded I am now in a position to offer any help required to Alex with regards his up coming appeal. The appeal is to be heard in late July.

Huttoft Car Terrace

I am in no doubt that the appeal will be a short affair due to “TO BE LEFT/LEAVE”

To Be Left

To Be Left

The fundamental reason Alex and all motorhomers do not breach the Lincolnshire Byelaw for Pleasure Grounds, Public Walks and Open Spaces is the following defence:

To Be Left

Over To Alex

As I will be standing for election on 7th May for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council I will leave the appeal in Alex’s capable hands.

Huttoft Car Terrace – Appeal Launched

This morning in Boston magistrates court I witnessed a miscarriage of justice I believed I would never witness in the UK.

Boston Court

The magistrate ignored the vast majority of our defence and found Alex Sprott guilty on both charges. In essence all the magistrate considered was the height of Alex’s van which must not exceed 1.9m. Alex has a permit which allows him to park overnight so long as his vehicle does not exceed 1.9m in height

  • The prosecution provided evidence that the generic vehicle left the factory in 1997 at 1.94m high.
  • Alex provided a recent photo of the vehicle showing it to be 1.87m high.
  • The prosecution provide no evidence for the height of the vehicle either for the nights in question or for 2014/15.

The magistrate accepted the factory data from 1997 and found Alex guilty despite the fact that there was reasonable doubt on this aspect alone.

Lets talk colour instead of height. A green vehicle leaves the factory in 1997. The current owner provides evidence in 2015 that it is red. There is no evidence as to the colour being green in 2015 but the magistrate accepts that it is.

Absolute madness.

Appeal Launched

Before leaving the court an appeal was launched.

LCC Costs

Although the Lincolnshire County Council legal representation, who travelled up from London, charged £1,500 for his services to LCC the court only awarded costs of £500 against Alex. In addition to this was a £300 fine and a victim support payment of £30 making £830 in total. No payment is due until after the verdict of the appeal.
