The Huttoft Parish Council Walkout recording is once again the subject of discussion. This time allegedly by Councillor Stephen Palmer.
Yesterday I received an email, allegedly written by Councillor Stephen Palmer, which states:
“It is my belief without looking back in detail that the recording was made at the May meeting and the rules to allow recording in Parish Councils was brought to force in August the speaker on the recording (not a parishioner, who comes from Yorkshire) who said it was the law was not factually correct because that law was still going through the statute and although known about was not in effect.
I do know to the best of my belief that at the time of this recording that previous prohibition of recording of parish meetings was still in force although we knew the changes were coming.”
Yet again a Lincolnshire County Council Councillor clearly has no knowledge of the law. Stephen please note the date on the letter below:
